Coaching Process

WHAT IS THE COACHING PROCESS?

  • Together we establish your goals and specific objectives for your growth and development based on your critical priorities.
  • We discuss where you are, where you want to be and any current obstacles that may be slowing you down, getting in your way or preventing you from reaching your goals.
  • We identify specific actions and changes you may wish to make to achieve your goals.
  • We jointly craft an action plan and timeline for moving forward.

HOW DO I ACHIEVE BREAKTHROUGH PERFORMANCE?

  • You actively work to implement the action plan while engaging in ongoing, sustained coaching.
  • You use the coaching time to assess progress, review learning and growth and brainstorm and engage with a strategic thinking partner (your coach).
  • You use your real world challenges and situations as catalysts for learning, change and development by bringing them to the coaching session.  This is a much more effective way to break old patterns and implementing new behaviors and skills than standardized training or business plans.
  • You make a commitment to your personal and/or professional growth and to the coaching relationship by being accountable, trustworthy and honest.
  • You trust that I will: be an advocate for your success; provide you with resources; and act as a learning guide, a trusted advisor, confidante, and accountability partner.

HOW DO I ANCHOR MY SUCCESS?

  • Throughout the coaching process, we summarize your breakthrough thoughts and actions that signify growth.  We remain vigilant for evidence of your new ways of being, thinking and doing.  Many clients journal as a way to anchor their learning as well as their A-HA moments.
  • During the final phases of our coaching engagement, we jointly review the benefits and the return on investment to you and/or to your organization.
  • Continue to remain conscious to your beliefs, thoughts and energy.  Use that information to make choices and to evaluate the results of those choices.
